We love good bread, how it looks, feels, smells and tastes. We love the tradition and the skill that goes into baking it, and the never-ending quest for the finest ingredients to produce exceptional breads, cakes and pastries and savories.


We use fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients as much as possible and everything is made from scratch often sourcing our ingredients daily for our soups, salads and sandwiches and decadent sweets, cakes and tarts.

To bake our bread we use three main ingredients, organic flour, organic sea salt and filtered water and activated seeds for our seeded loaves.

Every loaf is molded by hand, naturally leavened and baked on the hearth using specially designed European baking equipment that replicates the brick ovens of yesteryear.

The result is a loaf of bread that is light in texture, easy to digest, strong in natural flavours, a chewy crust and it maintains key nutrients and has great keeping qualities – In a word, delicious!.


Inspired by our travels we wanted bake breads made in the traditional ways
and baked on the hearth of the oven, using the best ingredients we can find.


We opened our store in Remuera in 2014 and the name came from our sons favourite nursery rhyme.


We also love good coffee and pour a single origin Organic Cuban bean roasted for us by Havana.
